ANSA – Visitors to Italy during the Milan Expo 2015 world’s fair will have access to ‘100 Open Gardens of Italy’, a project whose itinerary includes the Vatican gardens and the pontifical villas, organisers said Wednesday.

The project proposes an itinerary of 100 gardens, vineyards and orchards in Italy and the Italian-speaking Swiss canton of Ticino that will sponsor events and have extended opening hours during Expo 2015. The announcement was made by Judith Wade, founder of Grandi Giardini Italiani (Grand Italian Gardens), the group sponsoring the project.

Expo 2015 opens in Milan on May 1 and runs for six months on the theme ‘Feeding the planet, energy for life’.
