Students will have the opportunity to meet people from different countries, learn about traditional customs and costumes and have the opportunity to come in contact with distant cultures, all while learning the importance of a healthy diet for themselves and for the planet: By participating in next year’s event, students will encounter these opportunities. During a meeting on the Progetto Scuola of Expo Milano 2015 presented this morning at the headquarters of the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research, the procedures and initiatives with which Italian and foreign schools will participate in the Universal Exposition. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Maurizio Martina , the Minister of Education, University and Research Stefania Giannini , the General Manager of the Division of Event & Entertainment Expo 2015 S.p.A Piero Galli , CEO of Ferrovie dello State Italian Michele Elia and the Director of Business Telecom Italia Simone Battiferri . ProfessorAndrea Lenzi (Professor of Endocrinology – Sapienza University of Rome) described the food education project implemented by the Ministry of Education and MIPAAF in collaboration with the Department of Experimental Medicine of Sapienza University of Rome.

They will be in contact with people from all over the world, be able to taste the particular foods and learn about the cultures from diverse locations.
