Giorgio Armani celebrated on Thursday the 40th anniversary of his fashion house and at the same time gave the green light to Expo 2015 as a Special Ambassador of the long-awaited event.

The event also included the inauguration of Armani Silos which will be at the disposal of whoever wants to know about the four decades of Armani style and its future: the exhibition space showcases the best of Armani over the last 40 years to celebrate the Italian Maison contribute to the Fashion galaxy.
On Thursday evening, 450 guests from around the world, have joined a big fashion show featuring 160 sorties by 80 models displaying a selection of the 10 years of Armani Privé high fashion. The catwalk was prepared in the Armani Theatre in Via Bergognone, right in front of King George’s new enterprise: the name Silos, so industrial and agricultural at the same time, refers to the fact “this building once made to contain cereals, necessary to live, now it will contain clothes that also are necessary for life, so as to improve it,” Armani said. “It seemed the right place ‘to store’ my collections. It is not a museum, it is a permanent exhibit that will be renewed partially every six months”.
