The Italian Institute for Asia and the Mediterranean, known as ISIAMED, and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Italy, in cooperation with the Italian diplomatic authorities have agreed to carry out a multisectoral mission of Italian businessmen in Tehran, January 24-27, 2014.

downloadThe business delegation will be accompanied by a group of MPs who are planned to meet with Iranian government authorities.

The objective of the mission is to take advantage of this favorable phase of relations between Iran and the international community in order to seize new opportunities for promoting business partnerships and long-term cooperation with their Iranian counterparts, according to the ISIAMED website.

Italy’s relations with Iran, both economic and political, are now growing strongly. Italy, at present, is in the first place among the EU member states in terms of overall trade with Iran.
