Netberg is the first online business network that aims at bringing the world’s SMEs on the internet, giving them global visibility and streamlined e-commerce functionalities. For Free.
A micro or small business doesn’t have enough power to fight on the internet. That’s why Netberg has been created: to build a community for these micro and small businesses that empowers them to be able to stand together.
Netberg strongly believes in the power of the internet, and believes that every business should benefit from the right online presence.
However, many SMEs don’t have the time, money or IT skills to create this for themselves. That is why Netberg has created an online business platform for businesses to create a business website in five minutes.
Forget about spending hours choosing colours, the size of the text and the layout, but focus instead on the information you want your potential customers to find online about your business. It is important to Netberg that the business owners are also able to edit this information easily and quickly, so that they can spend valuable time working on their businesses. And what about e-commerce, the next big thing? Netberg offers his businesses a free online store that’s fast and easy to setup. Furthermore, Netberg wanted to take away the hassle of selling online. That is why Netberg offers to collect payments and manage shipments. Again: for the business owners to focus on what they do best.
Just like other innovative businesses, the story of Netberg begins with one single idea in one person’s mind. This idea came from Jubin Nuori, now Director and CTO of Netberg while on a London-Amsterdam flight back in 2012. Like many other entrepreneurs, Jubin spent those 45 minutes not sitting back and enjoying his flight, but writing down business ideas. He had been coding since he was a kid and studied Business at the University of Turin. It made sense to him to combine the best of both worlds: start an online business. When Jubin realised how many IT services SMEs were struggling with, Netberg was born. Above all, the most pressing issue for these small and medium businesses seemed to be being online and selling online. It wasn’t long before Jubin started talking to his best friends Michele Cuccovillo and Lorenzo Rando about the idea and before they knew it these three young friends became a team working on a clear mission: bringing all businesses online.
Netberg is the first Italian startup named one of six finalists for the award which will be presented in Brussels in the European Parliament on September 24.
Selected by Web Summit in Dublin, the largest tech conference in Europe as one of the most promising startups and certificates by London Accelerator Academy.
Last 24th september Netberg launched #savemyhighstreet, a campaign to raise awareness on the future of independent businesses. With 97% consumers looking for local businesses online, it is incredible how only 27% of small businesses are online.
Netberg has identified that there are 3 barriers that prevent businesses from being online, namely budget, IT skills and time. This is why on Netberg you can take your business online in just 5 minutes, with no IT skills nor time requirement.
